AMIA Labs is an independant x-ray analysis laboratory that was incorporated in 1995. Each member of its staff has over 20 years experiance in many aspects of x-ray diffraction. Today, AMIA Laboratories provides both routine XRD analysis, and specialty "difficult and unique" measurements. We can perform analysis on areas as small as 50 microns using a 2D detector and point source, or on parts as large as 300mm in diameter for semiconductor applications.

AMIA Labs was started in 1995 in Austin TX, for the purpose of providing XRD contract services to the quickly growing high-tech industries, and specialized in XRD for semiconductor/ thin film applications and for medical implant R&D and manufacturing. AMIA Labs developed many proprietary techniques for the measurement of texture, stress, composition and thickness on thin films, as well as mico-diffraction capabilities for patterned wafers or specific areas on medical implant devices and materials. Since then, AMIA Labs grew at a rapid pace, and became "A Rigaku Company" in 1999. In 2004, AMIA Labs became an independant company with more instrumentation at a new location. Today, AMIA Labs provides both routine XRD analysis, and specialty "difficult and unique" measurements. We can perform analysis on areas as small as 50 microns using a 2D detector and point source,or on parts as large as 300mm in diameter for semiconductor applications. While X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) are definitive non-destructive techniques for sub-surface analysis, large capital investments are required for equipment and trained personnel. Now, these analyses are affordable with the services of AMIA Labs. Our team has over 70 combined years of experience with X-ray diffraction and fluorescence. Using the latest technology available, coupled with our solid backgrounds in materials science and diffraction, we can analyze your most difficult samples, large to small samples to very small spots. We can extract the maximium amout of information from the x-ray data in order to help you understand your materials.
